The Watchmen On the Walls of Prayer

God is clearly calling forth His watchmen on the walls of prayer over Jerusalem literally and spiritually. This is the place where we are to pray for His strongholds to be built up so that the enemy's strongholds might be busted out and diminished. We must pray for the Lord's kingdom to expand and that its roots might go deep in His LOVE. We must pray and interceded from a place of intimacy with Him. We must pray protection over the land that He has given us in the Spirit to steward.

I have been hearing the voices of many of God's legitimate prophets calling forth the watchmen on the walls, and I have personally been feeling that God is highlighting His watchmen in this season. He is wanting us to not grow weary in well-doing. He does not want us to be tired or sad or feeling depressed like we are the only ones on the job and no one cares.

Intercession is so very important to God's heart. I have included a link to a recent post by Mike Bickle of the International House of Prayer. In this post he urges that all the "watchmen" stand up and move forward into their destinies as intercessors. He includes musicians, singers, sound techs, dancers, intercessory missionaries, etc.

The other night, I had a prophetic dream that I was moving into this church as a symbolic and prophetic act where I was setting up camp for the Lord in a place where intimacy with Jesus had waxed cold. I told people in my dream that I was like Anna the prophetess in the Bible. She spent much time in the Temple praying and interceding for the next great move of God. She prophesied and prayed over the Christ child and His parents! This is the time where intercessors need to move into the churches and bring the fire again! We are to help and enhance the prayer ministries, to encourage hunger for more of God's presence, hunger for His WORD coming to life through prayerful revelations and powerful encounters with Him! WE must pray and intercede for the next move of God to come, for the church to get ready!

God keeps watch over His watchmen on the walls who watch over his watch. [paraphrased] quote from a recent sermon by Pastor Bill Johnson earlier this month. God watches over His watchmen. But are we sleeping and tired! Wakey, wakey sleepy church! Wakey, wakey weary watchmen!

In this blog post, I want to encourage the watchmen and women who stand in the gap in prayer, intercession and worship. Will the real watchmen please stand up? Please stand up! Raise up the standard of the Lord once again. God is not dead. Neither should the church be sleeping and dimly lit. For God is surely alive and walking about the earth seeking witnesses.

God's watchmen on the walls of prayer are to worship, minister to the Lord, and keep watch so that the enemy cannot get in where he will only steal kill and destroy.

Holy fire of God come and fill us once again! Make us hungry for more of You. Place in us the desire to intercede for each other, for our nation, and for the unsaved in the world, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Isaiah 62:6-7 this passage is Isaiah's prophecy about the intercessors or watchmen on the walls of prayer in Jerusalem:

I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who [are His servants and by your prayers] put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silent, (Amplified Bible).

Longing

Holy Father, do not forget me.
And let me not forget You.
I want to memorize every part of You,
For You have every part of me written in Your Book.
Imprint Yourself on my mind, God.
Let Your Word be written on my heart,
That I may walk blameless before You.

Today, I feel far away from You.
How I miss the warmth of Your eyes
I wait expectantly for Your touch,
To feel Your breath on me,
In me,
Around me.
To see the light of Your face.
My soul longs for You,
I thirst and I hunger for more of You
Every moment.

Cover me--
In the deepness of Your mysterious hands.
Fill me with Your Holy presence!
Overflow me in the River of Your Life
And Reveal Your Truth to me again.
Overwhelm me with Your LOVE, oh God!

Let all of Your glory pass over me,
Consume me, oh God.
Show me Your glory today!
Come fill my longing!
Refill the place where no one else can fill:
And I will lay myself down on Your holy altar,
All my life a living sacrifice--
However small, it is in repayment
For the LOVE that You have lavished on me--
You are the One who died for me!
Yet You were resurrected on the third day,
And for the joy of the cross,
You died to give me life.
For this reason, I live and breathe.

Take me to the highest heights of Your Goodness!
Remind me, oh holy Father.
Let me never forget You
Cause me to remember Your Goodness.
Let me not live on yesterday's miracles, God.
I want to see You move today,
I want to live with You forever.
Holy Father, do not forget me.
And let me not forget You.

As the hart pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant for You, O God. My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?

My Heart Burns: Redeeming LOVE

My heart burns in the flame of Your redeeming LOVE and Truth.
Your WORD lights up every part of my me!
Every vein in my body is aglow--
Your blood shed for me on the cross
Flowing in Your redeeming LOVE
Has transfigured me
And I am fully Yours, oh Holy Jesus.

Baptize my heart again, oh God!
Let Your holy fire fall on me!
I am set ablaze by one coal from Your holy altar--
I am overwhelmed by revelations of You, God.
Every synapse of my brain is enlightened by Your gentle touch.
I am drunk with LOVE from Your hand on my head.

And I will pour myself out upon You in worship.
The sweetness of You moves me,
And I dance for You, God!
When You speak to me I am filled with holy fire on my bones.
Every time I see You I am in awe of who You are
Every time You show me another side of who You are, oh God.
Cover me in all of Your Goodness!
Show me Your Glory!

Your LOVE is deep,
Your LOVE is wide,
Your LOVE is vast,

And I am immersed in it!

I want to know every mystery about You, God.
Make me a shining one,
That I might lift Your name up to the world!
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you amy become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the Word of life.
Philippians 2:14-16 NIV 2011

Walk In the Promise, Bethel Loft Sessions, performed by Jeremy Riddle
lyrics

Our souls wait in the silence
In rest and quiet for You
Spirit
In trust and dependence We walk in the promise of You
Coming
With hope and healing in Your wings
With fire on us again
Here we are waiting for this house to be shaken
For the boldness to carry Your name to the nations
Your signs and Your wonders to go now before us
For the weight of Your glory to rest as we lift You up
We lift You up
Be magnified in us

Overshadowed

Holy God, Overshadow me with Your Holy Spirit.
Fill me with Your holy light.
Take every dark and unholy thing from me
And Shine Your light in me.

Rest on me, O God.
Let me be a resting place for Your glory.
Shine through me with Your holy light.
Let my heart burn with Your Word of truth.
Make my bones alive with Your holy fire!

Balance me with Your joy and peace, God.
Let me be found righteous before You
Blameless, yet completely full-
Filled to overflowing- with Your LOVE.

Let me come to know more of You, God.
I am longing for more of You
I am in a dry and thirsty land
Fill my starving soul with more of You.

Pour into me, God.
Fill me until I cannot take anymore!
Overflow Your Sprit into me.
I want to be undone in Your presence.

This sermon by Heidi Baker really moved me to tears. She uses the story of Mary the mother of Jesus to illustrate her sermon. Enjoy.

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place
Come fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord!

Let us become more aware of Your presence,
Let us experience the glory of Your Your beauty!

A Thin Space

There is a thin space between earth and heaven.
In fact, there are many in various places above the earth. In this place, both worlds are visible, and one more specifically visible to the other- heaven on earth. I am constantly in this place and not wanting to leave one for the other. My carnal self wants to live out my life on earth, while my spiritual self is constantly caught up into heaven.

My spirit floats, glides. I realize it now. And I am carried by a heavenly being, gently and swiftly upwards to the heart of God. My Father’s heart is full of light and color! There is so much light here. It is beautiful. I am one with my Father God. I feel cozy and small in His great big heart. Liquid LOVE flows and pulses through me, around me, over me. I feel His Holy Spirit swirling all around and the colors are too much for me to take in. I am raptured by His furiously amazing LOVE!

You have captured my heart in Yours. You have taken me up, and have transformed me in Your presence. I do not want to leave this place, but I have many responsibilities weighing on me from the earth…

I am dragged downward. My thoughts are taken to my earthly duties, my schedule, my plans...
A shooting star zooms past me and stops in mid air. My eyes re-adjust because of the light from it… The angel captures me again with swift hands...I realize that my thoughts had weighed me down and I was falling back to the weighty earth. I am re-captured into the loving arms of this being and Father God's heart receives me again.

Safely here, I am Your little child.
Keep me in the secret place, in the center of Your heart, God.
Your heart is where I am not found by the evil one.
He would never think to look for me there, nor could he get to me if he tried.

Your heart is pure LOVE, absolute peace.
Hold me in close.
Let me stay with You here, in this thin space between earth and heaven.

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, come!
I need You, I need Your comfort and guidance.
Without You, I am weak.
You are the most intelligent person I know.
Complex, extravagant, yet so gentle, kind.
With You I have hope.
Without You, I am but noisy and messy.

Holy Spirit, come!
Take me deeper, deeper still...
Then take me higher into His amazing LOVE!
Expand my borders.
Enlarge my vision.
Let me see His eyes and behold His beauty!
Take me where my heart is not courageous.
Make me strong enough to walk on the waters of this storm--
Until I see Jesus before me,
And I may fall into His embrace and find rest until it passes.
For in my weakness, is His strength.

Holy Spirit, Come!
Rest in me, rest on me--
Wear me like a garment.
For Your glory.

Holy Spirit, Come
A swirling whirlwind of colors
All of You in me.
Holy fiery and furious LOVE!
I am the offering, my life on Your holy altar
Holy fire consume me!
Oh, that my heart would burn with truth
And that this fire would be in my bones!

Holy Spirit, come!

Holy Feathers

I keep finding feathers in places where there are no birds. I found a bunch of tiny feathers on my clothes, in the bed, and some even in my hair. We do not have pets. My husband and I do not have any feathery things on our bed. I am a natural skeptic...

Then I went for a walk one day and there were three feathers in my path. This kept happening. I kept going for walks and finding feathers, no birds. I wanted to believe that the birds had it in for me and were playing a silly prank, but that took more faith to believe than to just trust that Father God is loving on me.

I heard the soft quiet voice of my Father God say:

"I have you covered. Trust me." He repeated this every time I saw a feather.

Whispered a prayer of thanks...every time:

"Thank you, God." But I was still a bit skeptical. I found it funny to amuse the thought that these were from another world...perhaps heaven?

Then, one day I went to do laundry and there is the biggest feather of them all inside the empty washing machine! By the way, I saved as many feathers as I could, especially the ones that I found inside the house....but there are so many of them!

In Psalm 91, Moses said that God our Father would cover us with His holy feathers and under His wings we could trust His protection. Angels cover us with their wings and we are safe in the protection of Papa God. He is a good Father.

Have you ever tried to reason your way out of a God thing? Or out of a miracle? God does not fit inside of our human logic and rationale. I am convicted because I want so badly to say that these feathers are of some earthly explanation. But Holy Spirit has me repenting. Our Father God is so good and He is mysteriously loving and deeply good.

We must never try to reason our way out of seeing heaven on earth.
Have you ever prayed the Lord's prayer and then doubted the line 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven'? Trust that He hears and His kingdom is here on earth in us and right before our very eyes!
Pray this with me:

Our Father who is in heaven,
Holy is Your name!
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
Here on earth
As it is in heaven!

Give us we pray our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins and help us to be forgiving.
Let us not fall into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Your is the kingdom,
And the power,
And the glory
forever and ever!
Amen

Undone in His Presence

Prayer from the secret place...

Holy God,
If I be found worthy
touch my lips with a coal
from you holy altar!
And if I be found unworthy,
Make me holy.
Burn in me with Your fiery LOVE
until I have surrendered all to You.
Make me holy
Send Your holy angel
to touch my lips
With tongs and a burning coal
from your holy altar!
Make me a burning one!
Let grace fall from my lips
that I may bless what Your work.
God use me to further Your kingdom!

I want to be undone
In Your holy presence,
Captivated by Your LOVE
Unravelled--
I want to be completely undone, O God!
Set an uncontainable fire in the midst of my bones!
Oh, that my heart were fully ablaze for You, God!
Consume me, God!
Overtake me with Your Goodness!
Baptize me again with Your fire
and with Your Holy Spirit!
Let no part of me be go unconsumed by You, Oh God!
All of me
In Your holy glory.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heart Prayer

My heart prays...

How is it that I am distracted by You, my Lord!
I think of You when I rise in the morning
And I cannot stop thinking about You all day.

I am in quiet repose
Here, hidden away
In the most secret place of Your heart, O God.
I have laid myself on Your holy altar.
Take all of me, use me for Your glory!
Burn away those things that are not right in me.

Your love for me is wild, it is furious, liquid, pure, refining fire...
I am constantly amazed at the power of Your love!
Your love washing over me and changing me--
How could I ever be the same after I am immersed in Your love?

I long for everyone in the world to know You, my Lord.
If they only knew!
How easy it is to love You, to know You!
Will You show them?
Teach us how to pray, Lord.
Help us to understand Your holy Word.
Help us to continuously declare you as Lord of our lives
Keep us hungry for Your WORD,
For Your presence,
For Your love.
Fill us up, God!
Fill us up to overflowing and out of that overflow
We might encourage others
To know You.
Take us deep into Your mysteries, God!
Open the eyes of our hearts,
Give us Your divine wisdom, God!
We cry out to You for more!
In Jesus' name, Amen

O, Sacred Light Consume Me!

Prayer

O Sacred Light Consume me!
Baptize me again in your most holy and furiously amazing LOVE!
Wash me from my sins,
from striving,
from perfection,
from wandering about in my own worldly darkness.
save me again
and let me die to myself and be made alive in You.
How I am completely undone in Your presence!

O, Holy Father of Lights,
I long for every good and every perfect thing that You have for me.
My soul aches and yearns for more of You.
When may I be held in Your arms once again close to Your heart?
My heart cannot move, but to hear Yours beat first.
Baptize me in Your LOVE again!
Let me never forget You.
Remind me of Your pain, Your struggle, on the night they betrayed You.

O, Sacred heavenly Light to consume me in Your loving presence.
Let me behold Your beautiful face.
I wish that I could have been the one to wipe the blood from Your brow,
To have caught the sweat from your body as You carried Your cross,
I would take the crown of thorns for You,
I should have been the one...
not You, my sweet Lord, not You.

Ah! You knew me even then...
You were in hot pursuit of me.
Even then You knew the truth about me:
I would have reacted in fear-
though today my heart looks back with hopeful courage
as if I were then, the person You have made me to be now.

Forgive me of my own neglect of You.
My soul longs for Your breath
I cannot live but to breathe in Your holy presence-
I cannot go on without Your life in me, God!

My spirit longs for You
Come fill me again, God-
Overflow me with Your presence!
Let me be fully light!

O most holy sacred Light,
There are many who do not know you yet...
Open the eyes of their understanding
Give them Your holy wisdom and revelation!
How my heat longs for them to know You,
That they too might be consumed by your holy LOVE and light.

In Jesus' holy name,
Amen

Come Up Here!

One night, I heard the voice of the Father saying:

"Come up here! Come up here! And I will show you deep and unsearchable things!"

My soul was quickly taken by the angel near me...
I was carried gently in the Spirit by the strong arms into third heaven.
I was shown amazing and mysterious things.
Upon entering heaven, numerous smiling angels greeted me!
"Welcome!" they exclaimed and hastily placed a white robe over me.
I was ushered along a beauteous path towards the throne room.
There was such excitement at my visit!

However, in the midst of all the glory of heaven my heart was reminded of earth and everything that I am responsible for... My heart became too heavy. I began to sink back down to the earth. Heaviness had overcome my heart.

I soon felt the sadness of the angel who had so quickly taken me into this glorious place.

"I must see the one who sits on the throne!" my heart exclaimed. The angel was elated. The entire journey took only seconds and I was back!

"Welcome back!" the angels exclaimed again with great laughter. I had not realized that my robe had fallen off in my heaviness.

It was a robe of righteousness.

The robe was placed upon me again.

Now, I understand the whole thing.
I am called to focus on the One on the throne and to live in this place of victory.

How, my Lord? I do not deserve this robe. He talked to me about many things. He has called me to intercession. To be join the watchman on the walls. To pray into His will and defend His plans for all who live on the earth.

I feel His heart so today. He is longing to be closer. I am overtaken by His love. Everything I do is consumed by His love and I desire more of Him...

My Father takes me onto His lap. He pulls me in closer to His heart. I see the many colors! Ah, colors I have never seen before! I am thrilled and energized by His love! I hear His laughter over me. He sits me down and dances all around me! He lifts His knees and His feet go wild all around me! (Zephaniah 3). I have not known love like this before. I am full of God! My heart is full!

This song below has really moved my heart towards intercession.
May you be blessed in the Lord beyond your wildest imagination!

Soak Me Through, My Sweet Lord

I have laid my self down for You, my Lord.
Soak me through. Fill me up with Your LOVE!
For I am longing for more of Your holy presence.

When I am in Your presence, every part of me is laid down.

I am a laid down Lover for You, my sweet Lord.

His left arm is under my head

and His right arm embraces me.
Song of Solomon 2:6

I am a laid down Lover of Yours, ohh, my sweet Lord.

Soak me through...

I've finally found my place, where I belong! In the presence of my sweet LOVE: Jesus.

How I yearn for you when I am away from You. How I feel you longing for me to come back!

"Meet me in our favorite spot," You said to me.

Ahh, how...I delight to sit in His shade...

Song of Solomon 2:3

We met under the apple tree. He had prepared a meal for us to share together. I poured my pink wine on Him. He was filled with joy at my offering to Him. I was so moved and I wept because it was hardly enough after what He had done for me.

I was captivated by a single scar on His arm!

...Place me like a seal over your heart,

like a seal on your arm...
Song of Solomon 8:6

I wept at the sight of His arm for I knew that He took that beating for me! He was wounded and violently bruised for my transgressions! Ahh, my Lord! My sweet LOVE! Look at what they...I...did...

"Ah, my Love! I am so sorry, I am so sorry!" I wept until I could weep no more. He showed it all to me, every scar, every sadness, every weight of every sin cast upon Him. Every insult hurled at Him unnecessarily.

All for me. All for love.

...My Beloved is mine and I am His...

Song of Solomon 2:16

I have been baptized in your love, forever transformed! All for love! My Jesus, You did this all for Your LOVE for me! And for the joy set beforeYou! And You have freely given me this joy! You call me your Beloved!

"My Lord, You are my Beloved and I am Yours! Show me more, show me all of Your glory! Take me deeper into Your love," my heart cried, for I have yearned for more of His love.

Then He danced over me beneath the apple tree and my heart was filled with gratitude!
Soak me through, God! Let Your love and peace fall afresh on me! I want to see You in all of Your glory! To be filled with Your holy presence! Immersed in Your liquid LOVE! Aglow with Your fiery passion.

Hold me. Do not let me go. Pull me in tighter to Your holy heart. Just in case I missed one word, one beat...anything. Hold me in Your strong arms and soak me through.

Ahh, we are one, my Lord, my LOVE!

We are one! I am raptured by Your amazing LOVE!

Hide me in that place deep inside of You, my Lord.

He said to me one day:
"Take me to the secret place in our garden. The deepest part within the apple tree."

So we ate together for many days beneath the apple tree, and talked about many things.

Another time He said to me:
"Feed me your apples," He said to me, "I will feed you red and green grapes."

His smile radiated through me!

We ate together and walked with arms linked very slowly around the garden.

I want to go higher, I desire to go deeper with You. I am lovesick.

Oh, my Lord, many waters cannot quench this LOVE I have for you!
Song of Solomon 8:7

Ahh, my sweet LOVE! Do not hold back from me. Let me behold Your beauty for all of my days!
Let me gaze into Your eyes. I will take all of eternity to memorize You, my sweet Lord.

Ohh, Jesus! You electrify my soul!!

How did I ever walk so far away from you all those many years?
I was so far from year heart, yet You loved me. You came leaping over the mountains towards me.
You made every valley a mountain, and every mountain a valley under Your holy feet on Your journey to me!

Yet, it was I. I was the one who found You.

And You let me think that it was all my idea!

Sweet surrender. You take my breath away and have given me Yours.

I am at peace in my Lover's strong arms.

I breathe You.

You've soaked me through.

Let us always be 'looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.' Hebrews 12:2

God, You've Memorized Me

I had been in the middle of the storm.

My soul asked, "Where do I look, God? I cannot see you."

I was blinded by the chaos...Couldn't focus much on anything.

Ahh, there are so many distractions keeping me from you, oh God.

The enemy keeps coming at me with drama and foolishness, but it looks so real.

Almost believed him...that devil.

I hear a song breaking through the atmosphere around me. I am covered. You know me, God.

You have calmed the waves of the crashing seas. Taught me how to walk on water.

I can see now. I am in the place where I belong...I am well covered in your hands. The storm is forgotten when I am where I belong. How could I have ever, ever wandered from you? The air I breathe, my energy, my strength, my LOVE! I am your Beloved. You memorized me, every detail.

"Be Loved," you said, "allow me to love you. You don't have to work for it. You never had to earn it."

"Ahh, my LOVE! How you have captured my heart!" My soul exclaimed into the silence.

Light has broken through. Nothing is ever hidden from you, my LOVE.

I am free. Revelation!

Ohhh, I am yours! How you captivate me! Your love has ravished my heart and has overtaken me!

You are mine.

God, show me your heart, pull me in closer, closer...closer still. I remember now...

You created my inmost being...
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand

when I awake, I am still with you
(NIV 2011, www.biblegateway.com, Psalm 139).

You have memorized me, my LOVE.

Lyrics to "You Know Me" by Bethel Music

You have been
And You will be
And You have seen
And You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall
When I come or go, You see it all
You hung the stars and You move the sea,
And still You know me

Oh, You know me, Oh

And nothing is hidden from Your sight
Wherever I go, You find me
And You know every detail of my life
And You are God and You don't miss a thing

And nothing is hidden from Your sight
Wherever I go, You find me
And You know every detail of my life
And You are God and You don't miss a thing

Oh, You know me
Oh, You know me
Oh, You know me, Oh

You memorize me

You have been
And You will be
You have seen
And You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall
When I come or go, You see it all
You hung the stars and You move the sea,
And still You know me
Oh , You know me
